Depot City Park is an open space just east of Old School Park in the center of town. The lawn is maintained and there are abundant large trees. This park gets it’s name because it is adjacent to where the old Darrington train depot once stood. The depot was built in 1901, and was completed just in time to receive visitors and dignitaries who arrived on the first inbound train to Darrington on June 5, 1901. It is a good place to hold an event, with public restrooms within walking distance at Old School Park. To make any reservations or to request a special use of city parks please contact the Town of Darrington at 360-436-1131
