Sauk Park Campground is located north of the Suiattle and Sauk Rivers confluence. The 40 acre Skagit County Park has several fishermen’s trails to explore. The park looks out over the Sauk River and Illabot Peaks.
The Suiattle River Recreation Area is just south of the park offering several day and backpacking trails. A little further south is the Mountain Loop Highway with abundant recreation. To the north is the Illabot Creek Road, the road to the Slide Lake Trail and route to Jordan Lakes, stocked lakes for fishing.
Being this is a long season campground, it is a popular destination for people coming out to fish the rivers and fall hunting.
Sauk Park Campground is located 12.8 miles north of Darrington on the Concrete-Sauk Valley Road. The park tends to open April 15th and close on October 31st however these dates are subject to weather conditions. Since this is a low elevation campground with a longer season, it is an excellent choice for fisherman, eagle watchers and whitewater enthusiasts.
To get to Sauk Park Campground from Darrington, drive north on SR 530 about 12 miles, turn left on Concrete-Sauk Valley Road, in a short distance you will see the entrance on the right.
